Itanagar: The India Meteorological Department expects wild weather across Arunachal Pradesh this week. Thunderstorms, lightning, and heavy rain will hit multiple districts. Authorities urged residents to stay alert.

The agency issued a district-wise warning starting Tuesday. Isolated spots in West Kameng, East Kameng, Papum Pare, West Siang, Lower Dibang Valley, Lohit, and Namsai face the worst conditions. Other areas, including East Siang, Upper Siang, Anjaw, Changlang, Tirap, and Longding, will see lightning and thunderstorms.

Conditions remain unstable through Wednesday and Thursday. Heavy rain will track into Tirap, Longding, and Changlang. The department noted that "The weather department has advised residents, particularly those living in vulnerable and low-lying areas, to remain cautious during periods of heavy rainfall and thunderstorm activity."

Warnings persist through Friday and Saturday. Several districts will see recurring storms. Tawang and Shi-Yomi are currently exempt from the active alerts. Officials are tracking the monsoon's path as it gathers strength across the northeast.
