Shillong: The Indian Institute of Management Shillong has achieved accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International. This status serves as a gold standard in management education, placing the institute among the less than six percent of business schools worldwide to meet these rigorous quality benchmarks.
To earn this distinction, the school underwent an extensive peer review process. Evaluators scrutinized its academic framework, research output, curriculum, teaching standards, and overall societal impact. With this achievement, IIM Shillong joins a select group of roughly 30 institutions in India to hold the credential.
Prof Naliniprava Tripathy credited the milestone to the collective dedication of the entire campus community. The institute expects this recognition to open doors for new international partnerships, global academic collaborations, and expanded student exchange programs.
Founded in 2007, the institute has built a reputation for its focus on sustainability within management education. Moving forward, school leadership plans to uphold these global standards while continuing to meet its strategic long-term goals.
