Kohima: Lian Tungnung, a Class XI student at Hollotoli School, recently completed the Summer Leadership Programme hosted by The Doon School in Dehradun. He earned the distinction of being the sole representative from the North East region selected for the national initiative.

The programme challenged participants through a blend of group discussions, collaborative projects, and outdoor activities. These sessions focused on building essential life skills, including critical thinking, teamwork, effective communication, and self-confidence. By engaging with peers from across the country, students explored core concepts of responsibility and community living.

Reflecting on his time in Dehradun, Lian noted that the experience pushed him to embrace new challenges and broaden his perspective. Sharing his experience, Lian said the programme provided him with an opportunity to interact with students from diverse backgrounds, learn new skills and grow in confidence, describing it as both enriching and memorable.

Hollotoli School officials stated that Lian’s selection highlights the institution's commitment to experiential learning. They believe that providing students with opportunities beyond the classroom is vital for fostering holistic development and wider real-world exposure.
