Kohima: Health and Family Welfare bosses in Dimapur just dropped the hammer on staff attendance. Medical officers and hospital workers now face strict rules for taking time off. No one leaves their station without getting a formal green light from the top first.
The new rules force chief medical officers and medical superintendents to do extra legwork. They must notify the deputy commissioner of their district before they head out. Keeping accurate records is now a requirement for the supervisors handing out the leave.
The department warned that any rule-breaking leads to real trouble. Officials will handle violations under standard government codes. A DIPR report confirmed the mandate, stating that the order has been issued for "strict compliance by all concerned" throughout the department.
