Kohima: The Hardware Merchants Association Dimapur has officially pledged its support to local civil society organizations following a recent meeting held at the Saramati venue. This collective stance addresses the recent forced closure of shops initiated by the Dimapur Naga Students Union.
Association president K. Dennis expressed that while student groups provide a vital service by advocating for social issues and protecting the interests of the community, their methods require careful consideration. He emphasized that resolving grievances or pushing for specific demands should always be handled through peaceful, lawful, and constructive dialogue with relevant authorities rather than business disruptions.
