Gangtok: The Special Intensive Revision 2026 of Electoral Rolls is underway in Sikkim’s Gyalshing District, aiming to ensure an accurate and updated voter registry. Booth Level Officers are currently conducting door-to-door visits to distribute and collect necessary enumeration forms.
By the seventh day of the campaign, officials had distributed 3,605 forms throughout the district. Maneybong Dentam recorded the highest volume with 1,338 forms, followed by 849 in Yangthang, 740 in Yuksam Tashiding, and 678 in Gyalshing Bernyak.
The Election Commission of India plans to continue the verification and distribution drive until June 28, 2026. Authorities are asking residents to review their personal information, including names, ages, addresses, and photographs, to ensure total accuracy.
The Election Commission has urged citizens to cooperate fully with Booth Level Officers during the verification process and to submit their forms within the stipulated timeline. Residents requiring assistance can reach out to local electoral offices, use the Voter Helpline App, or contact the dedicated helpline at 1950.
