Guwahati: Guwahati police busted a six-man dacoit ring targeting train passengers. Officers raided Hotel Avisarika in the Adabari area after getting a tip. They cuffed all six suspects inside the building. The group operated across various locations.
The men are all from Haryana. Police identified the suspects as Sonu, Krishna Rana, Kuldeep, Praveen Kumar, Satyawan, and Sanjay Kumar. They hail from Rohtak, Bhiwani, and Hisar. A team from Jalukbari Police Station led the operation.
Authorities are hunting for more leads. "Police have launched a detailed investigation to ascertain the gang's involvement in other cases and identify possible accomplices," officials stated. The probe aims to link the group to unsolved robberies along the tracks.
