GPRN Imposes Strict Export Restrictions Along Indo-Myanmar Border

Imphal: The Government of the People’s Republic of Nagalim (GPRN) has enacted an immediate ban on the movement of all goods from its territories into Myanmar. This directive covers all commodities, including petroleum products and their various derivatives, as the group moves to fortify its presence along the international boundary.

This policy stems from an order titled Strict Monitoring Along Indo-Myanmar Border, which was issued by the Yaruiwo on June 15. The Ministry of Information and Publicity formalized the mandate in a June 17 notification, confirming that the Naga Army now holds full authorization to enforce these movement restrictions.

Under the new protocol, the Naga Army will maintain constant vigilance along the border until the leadership issues further instructions. The GPRN stated that the measure is aimed at strengthening vigilance and ensuring effective monitoring of activities along the border region. Local authorities have called on the public to comply with these security measures and cooperate with the personnel stationed at the border.
