Governor Vijayashankar Hands Out Smart Glasses to Visually Impaired

Shillong: Governor CH Vijayashankar distributed smart glasses to 15 visually impaired individuals this Monday at Lok Bhavan. The event focused on providing tools to boost independence and daily accessibility for those struggling with sight loss. The gear aims to build confidence.

The Composite Regional Centre for Skill Development, Rehabilitation and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, known as CRCSRE, teamed up with the Voice of Specially Abled People to host the distribution. These organizations aim to provide gear that helps people move through the world with ease.

The Governor praised the groups for their work. He said, "The initiative was organised by the Composite Regional Centre for Skill Development, Rehabilitation and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Shillong, in collaboration with the Voice of Specially Abled People."

Vijayashankar pushed for better inclusion across Meghalaya. He told stakeholders to keep working on rehabilitation and dignity. Everyone deserves a fair shot.
