Kohima: Government Primary School in Upper Khomi hosted a joint celebration for World Environment Day and Literary Day on June 5. Organised in partnership with the Upper Khomi Students' Union, the event served as a platform to engage the local youth in conservation efforts.
The initiative sought to promote environmental awareness while encouraging the protection of the natural world. Organisers also aimed to foster a stronger reading culture and inspire literary interest among the student population. According to the official report from the event, the programme aimed to "promote environmental awareness, encourage the protection of nature, and foster a reading culture and literary interest among the students."
