Gangtok District Reaches Milestone in Special Intensive Revision Voter Drive

Gangtok: Booth Level Officers in Gangtok District have distributed 56,980 enumeration forms during the first six days of the Special Intensive Revision 2026. This door-to-door campaign reached 46.61 percent of the district's 1,22,240 registered voters as of June 4.

The administration noted that the process is designed to ensure accuracy and completeness in the electoral roll. Officials stated that the "distribution and collection of Enumeration Forms through house-to-house visits by BLOs will continue until June 28, 2026, ensuring that all eligible electors are covered under the revision exercise."

Constituency data shows 24-Martam-Rumtek leads the distribution with 11,623 forms, followed by 16-Tumen-Lingi with 9,590. Other areas including 23-Shyari, 17-Khamdong-Singtam, 25-Upper Tadong, 27-Gangtok, 26-Arithang, 28-Upper Burtuk, and 32-Sangha have also seen significant participation in the outreach effort.
