Guwahati: The General Officer Commanding of the Gajraj Corps met with Gauhati University Vice Chancellor Prof. Nani Gopal Mahanta and senior faculty on June 4 in Guwahati to establish a new educational partnership. The meeting included prominent academics such as Prof. Akhil Ranjan Datta, Prof. Chandama Samah, Prof. Poully Vauquline, Dr. Vikash Tripathi, and Dr. Sameer Sarkar.

Officials from both institutions focused on fostering a deeper understanding of the socio-cultural dynamics in the Northeast. The collaboration aims to strengthen critical thinking among students and encourage more young people, particularly women, to pursue careers in the military. Plans include experiential learning opportunities, such as educational tours to frontier regions, where students can observe border management and speak with personnel stationed in remote operational environments.

Both parties pledged their support to national development by mentoring students to become proactive citizens. The effort is rooted in the goal of preparing the youth for a developed India by 2047. The initiative seeks to broaden academic perspectives under the core guiding principle of "Nation First."
