Four Die Following Fatal Motorcycle Collision in Assam

Guwahati: A head-on collision between two motorcycles claimed the lives of four young men early Sunday morning on the Mirza-Palashbari road in Assam. The accident took place around 2 am near Bajrapara during heavy rainfall, forcing the riders onto the pavement upon impact.

Local police from Palashbari arrived quickly and transported the five injured victims to a hospital in Mirza. Medical staff declared Jyoti Kalita, Nikhil Das, and Chandan Jana dead upon their arrival at the facility. Two other men, Dipankar Kalita and Arnav Barman, were transferred to the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital to receive specialized care for their critical injuries.

One of the men transferred to the hospital died later that morning, bringing the final death toll to four. The local community remains in mourning following the tragedy. Authorities are currently investigating the specific circumstances that led to the fatal crash.
