Former MP Abdul Khaleque Joins Assam Congress Media Team

Guwahati: The Assam Pradesh Congress Committee named former MP Abdul Khaleque as advisor to its media department on June 27. The move comes under the direct order of party president Gaurav Gogoi.

Ramanna Baruah, the general secretary for organization, issued the official note confirming the appointment. Khaleque will coordinate his efforts with the media department chairman. He reports straight to Gogoi.

The change took hold immediately. "The appointment was made on the direction of APCC President Gaurav Gogoi," the notification stated. Copies of the formal order reached senior party leaders including AICC General Secretaries K.C. Venugopal and Jitendra Singh, alongside local MPs and MLAs.
