Former Congress and PPC Leaders Join BJP in Nagaland

Kohima: The BJP expanded its presence in Nagaland this week as former Parliamentary Secretary H. Nyamli Phom and former Phom People Council president P. Chingan Phom officially joined the party. The transition took place during a mass induction event held at 49 A/C Tamlu Mandal in the Longleng district, where both leaders were welcomed alongside a significant number of their supporters.

Local representatives from various villages attended the ceremony to show their support for the party. During the event, attendees credited their decision to the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Village figures, including A.T. Angwan Angh of Tamlu and Tamlu village chairman Y. Longtang, delivered messages praising the party's direction.

Senior party officials from both the district and the state level were present to mark the occasion. B. Ajoy Phom, the BJP president for Longleng district, confirmed the development and stated that the party remains committed to regional unity and local development goals.
