Five Killed in Arunachal Pradesh Highway Gorge Accident

Itanagar: A tragic road accident in Arunachal Pradesh left five people dead and one injured on June 13. A commercial vehicle lost control and plunged into a deep gorge near Pagaso Stream along National Highway 13 in the East Kameng district.

The crash occurred near Tatatara village in the Seppa Circle. Local residents, police, and emergency teams reached the scene immediately to conduct a rescue operation. While five passengers died, one occupant was pulled from the wreckage and transported to a nearby medical facility for urgent care.

The victims were identified as Md. Bulbul Hussain, Abdul Hussain, Nur Hussain, Amjat Ali, and Saidul Ali. All five men resided in Bhoruluwa village, which falls under the North Lakhimpur Police Station in Assam. Regarding the ongoing response, officials stated, "Authorities are continuing their investigation to ascertain the exact cause of the accident."

Rescue and recovery teams remained on-site following the crash. Officials have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident as further details are expected to emerge.
