Guwahati: A fast-moving fire destroyed a residential home in Namphai village on September 23. The house is located near Jagun in Assam's Tinsukia district. The inferno spread quickly, gutting the structure and ruining all household belongings inside.
Firefighters from Ledu arrived soon after the alarm was raised. The crew launched an operation to douse the flames and stop them from jumping to neighboring properties. They worked until the blaze was under control. The cause of the fire remains unknown.
Local authorities have not yet reported any casualties. Officials are currently assessing the wreckage to determine the value of the lost property. A spokesperson for the emergency responders noted that the "extent of the damage is yet to be assessed." Investigators remain on the scene to gather more information.
