Federal Agents Arrest Couple Over Manipur Triple Homicide

Imphal: Federal agents collared a husband and wife Thursday for the brutal kidnapping and slaughter of six Naga civilians. The National Investigation Agency teamed up with CRPF troops and Manipur Police to make the bust. They tracked the pair to the Kangpokpi district.

The suspects are Pradip, 40, and his wife Ayingbi, also known as Mangaih. Pradip moved into Leilon Vaiphei village about a decade ago after converting to Christianity. He and his wife have four children together. Local sources confirmed the family lived in the village until this week.

The arrests center on the May 13 disappearance of the victims from Leilon Vaiphei. Investigators linked the couple to the abduction and subsequent killing of the six civilians. The NIA continues to scour the region for answers. They stated the arrests are "related to the NIA’s investigation into the abduction of six Naga civilians from Leilon Vaiphei on May 13."
