Kohima: Fazl Ali College opened its doors to a fresh wave of students on July 8. The auditorium buzzed as newcomers for the BA, BCom, and BSc programs settled in. Vice Principal L S Vinod took the stage to greet the group. He walked them through the Four-Year Undergraduate Programme structure, breaking down the academic framework they will call home for the next four years.
Hard work paid off for ten specific students. The college handed out refunds for its merit-based fee concession scheme. Five Arts, three Science, and two Commerce students earned a 50 percent break on their admission costs. "Vice Principal L S Vinod welcomed the new students and congratulated them on securing admission to the college."
Maongienla, an English professor, guided the crowd through the campus infrastructure and student support services. She laid out the rules clearly. Students must follow the official code of conduct. Geography professor Sashikokla Jamir chaired the event, while Nungshitemjen Longkumer led a prayer for the incoming class. Parents, faculty, and students filled the room to mark the start of the academic cycle.
