Guwahati: European Union Ambassador to India Herve Delphin will lead a delegation of diplomats to Assam on June 8 and 9. The visit aims to foster cooperation in sustainable development, innovation, and inclusive economic growth, reflecting the deepening partnership between India and the European Union.

State officials indicate that the mission will introduce a roadmap for sustainable livelihoods and new economic opportunities. A centerpiece of the engagement is the European Union's Blue Valley initiative, which focuses on supporting women, farmers, and entrepreneurs in sectors including food processing, tea production, fragrances, and AYUSH industries.

On June 9, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will lead the groundbreaking ceremony for the INLAMOBI Fragrances and Cosmetics Pilot Project. This facility stems from investment commitments made during the Advantage Assam 2.0 summit and is designed to drive job creation and local value addition. Assam Chief Secretary Ravi Kota has finalized preparations to ensure the success of these high-level diplomatic meetings and associated events.
