Kohima: Election officials have officially cleared two candidates to contest the upcoming by-election for the Tsumang B, Ward 8 seat of the Wokha Town Council. The approval followed a scrutiny process held on June 1, 2026, at the office of the Assistant Returning Officer and ADC Wokha, Renbomo Ezung.
A report from the Department of Information and Public Relations confirmed that the review took place in the presence of Y. Chingyak Konyak, a joint secretary with the Department of Urban Development and Housing who served as the election observer. Following the examination of all documents, both applicants were declared eligible for the race. This clearance allows the electoral process to proceed as scheduled.
