Kohima: Eco Warriors Nagaland and the Nagaland Zoological Park in Rangapahar formed a new partnership on June 2, 2026, to advance biodiversity conservation. The memorandum of understanding was signed by NZP director Enyiwekha Wezah and EWN co-founder Tekameren I. Jamir to formalize their commitment to environmental education and scientific documentation.

The collaboration relies on the technical expertise of Eco Warriors Nagaland to assist the park with tree taxonomy and the systematic recording of local flora. By identifying and cataloging species within the zoo, the group aims to improve the park's scientific records and research capabilities.

Beyond documentation, the two organizations plan to launch joint initiatives including awareness campaigns, volunteer programs, and nature-based learning activities. These efforts are designed to boost community engagement and promote environmental stewardship among youth in the region. By working together, the groups intend to transform the zoological park into a prominent hub for conservation education and sustainable action in Nagaland.
