East Jaintia Hills Administration Dismisses Fuel Shortage Rumors

Shillong: The East Jaintia Hills district administration has confirmed that there is no shortage of petrol, diesel, or LPG in the region. Officials issued a public notice to address circulating rumors of fuel scarcity, assuring residents that supplies remain normal in accordance with guidance from the Union Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.

The Deputy Commissioner for Supply urged the public to stop panic buying and unnecessary hoarding of fuel and cylinders. Authorities have emphasized that current stock levels are adequate to meet local demand.

The administration warned that it will take strict legal action against any dealers, agencies, or individuals caught black marketing, overcharging, or hoarding essential supplies. Residents are encouraged to stay calm and rely solely on official updates regarding the district fuel situation.
