East Dimapur Town Council mandates permits for telecom infrastructure

Kohima: The East Dimapur Town Council has issued a formal directive requiring all telecommunication providers operating within its jurisdiction to secure official permission. This mandate applies to companies, agencies, and individuals managing assets such as communication towers, optical fibre networks, cable wires, and private internet infrastructure.

The Council aims to improve the regulation, documentation, and management of these utilities throughout the region. According to the official press statement, the council requires "all concerned to report to the office and complete the required permission formalities by June 30" from the date of the notice. Those operating telecom installations must comply with these administrative requirements to maintain their status within the council area.
