Kohima: The East Dimapur Town Council has officially commended the Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority for its work clearing drainage systems throughout the region. Officials noted that the initiative has effectively reduced waterlogging and boosted overall sanitation standards for the local community.
In a formal statement, the council credited the agency with fostering a cleaner environment for all residents. To ensure these improvements last, the council issued an appeal for the public to help maintain the infrastructure. They urged citizens to stop throwing plastics, garbage, and other waste into the drains. As the council noted in its press release, the cleaning drive has "significantly contributed to improving sanitation, preventing waterlogging, and ensuring a cleaner environment for residents of East Dimapur."
