Kohima: Statistical Adviser to the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region, Dharmvir Jha, met with various Nagaland state departments in Kohima on Thursday. The coordination session included representatives from the Department of Planning and Transformation, IDAN, and the Roads and Bridges department to review progress on ministry-funded initiatives.

Jha praised the performance of IDAN during the review but emphasized that the state must accelerate the delivery of infrastructure projects. He specifically highlighted the need for quicker action on roads covered under the North East Special Infrastructure Development Scheme and urged officials to expedite the execution of existing Memorandums of Understanding.

To streamline future oversight, Jha instructed that all new project proposals submitted to the Ministry of DoNER must pass through the Planning Department. This measure aims to ensure better monitoring and cohesive coordination across all state-led development efforts.
