DIPR Trains Interns in Visual Media Skills

Kohima: The Department of Information and Public Relations in Kohima started a three-day photography and videography training program on Monday. Sixteen interns from universities across Nagaland and beyond are attending the sessions at the Directorate conference hall. The training runs until June 24.

Interns get hands-on experience with camera gear and media production. The curriculum covers lighting, framing, editing, and visual storytelling techniques. Department experts lead the sessions. They teach students how to handle equipment and document public information. The department stated that the program aims to equip students with practical skills, adding that such initiatives form part of its efforts to support youth development by "creating meaningful learning opportunities and promoting skill enhancement in emerging areas of communication and media."

Participants practice field exercises and interactive discussions. The goal is to build professional technical skills. These interns will leave with a better grasp of digital media production. The department expects this training to boost student prospects in future academic and professional settings.
