Dimapur Residents Face Five-Hour Power Cut July 2

Kohima: Nagaland power officials confirmed a five-hour blackout across parts of Dimapur and Niuland this Tuesday. The department will install a new 10 MVA, 66/33 kV transformer at the Dairy Farm sub-station. This upgrade work starts at 08:00 and finishes at 13:00.

The outage hits two major hubs. The Dairy Farm and Nito Farm sub-stations will go dark. This move kills power for six specific feeders: the 11 kV Zani, Darogajan, Shozukhu, Kuhuboto, and Vihokhu lines, plus the 33 kV Niuland feeder.

Er S I Asangba Tikhir, the Executive Engineer of the Transmission Division, confirmed the schedule in an official notice. The department expressed regret for the situation. They officially "requested their cooperation during the essential upgrade work" as crews swap out the hardware.
