Dimapur Pensioners Resolve Benefit Issues at DoT Adalat

Kohima: The Joint Controller of Communication Accounts for the Department of Telecommunications, NE-II Circle, hosted a Pension Adalat on July 31. The event took place at the BSNL Conference Hall in Dimapur. Retirees from the city and surrounding areas showed up to hash out ongoing pension problems with local officials.

Staff resolved every grievance on the spot. The department pushed new tech during the session. Officials demonstrated the Jeevan Pramaan app, which uses facial authentication to generate Digital Life Certificates. This lets pensioners finish the task from home. They skip the trip to government offices entirely.

Deputy Controller of Communication Accounts K Sajal spoke on the outreach effort. "The initiative reflects the Government's continued commitment to improving pension services by making them more accessible, transparent and citizen-friendly through digital empowerment," Sajal said.
