Kohima: Pro Rural teamed up with the Circle of Hope and the Urban Primary Health Centre in Duncan Bosti to host a free medical camp. The event hit Signal Angami Village in Dimapur on June 23. It coincided with International Widows' Day. The team brought care to the community. They focused on reaching widows and other vulnerable residents.
Doctors saw 61 patients throughout the day. Services included dental check-ups, eye screenings, and general health assessments. Staff tracked vital signs and ran blood sugar tests for those in need. The crew performed 25 laboratory investigations to pinpoint specific health issues. Patients also walked away with free medicine. Organisers thanked the medical staff and volunteers for the support. The groups stated that the effort was meant to address the healthcare needs of widows and other vulnerable sections of society.
