Dimapur Lions Club Makes Hunger Relief a Permanent Monthly Mission

Kohima: The Lions Club of Dimapur Elite turned its Sarv Jeev Sewa hunger relief drive into a permanent monthly project. The move follows a full year of consistent food distribution across Dimapur and nearby regions. Volunteers hit the streets to feed the needy.

Club president Lion Meena Jain and chairperson Lion Prity Jain led the charge through the Lionistic Year. They coordinated 12 major relief drives at sites including the Mother Teresa Old Age Home, the Deaf Biblical School for the Deaf, and various temples. The crew delivered hot meals, dry rations, and supplies to struggling families, kids, elderly residents, and stray animals.

Community support drove the decision to keep the project alive. The organization stated, "The positive response from the community had prompted it to adopt the Sarv Jeev Sewa – Hunger Relief Project as a permanent service programme." This ongoing commitment echoes the group's motto, We Serve, and prioritizes aid for every living soul.
