Dimapur District Ladies Club and NSCN/GPRN-K Condemn Assaults on Minors

Kohima: The Dimapur District Ladies Club (DDLC) and NSCN/GPRN-K have issued strong condemnations following reports of sexual assault and rape against minors in Dimapur and Phek. Both organizations described the incidents as barbaric violations of human dignity that undermine societal values and the safety of children.

In an official statement, the DDLC characterized the assault in Dimapur as a grave violation of dignity and an attack on childhood innocence. The group is urging local authorities to prioritize the needs of the victim and her family by providing immediate protection, professional counselling, and comprehensive support services. The club also pledged its continued commitment to promoting accountability and protecting vulnerable members of the community.

The NSCN/GPRN-K echoed these sentiments through its Ministry of Information and Publicity, labeling the abuse as a betrayal of the sacred obligation to protect children. The group demanded swift action from law enforcement to ensure all offenders face legal consequences regardless of their background. The organization stated, "Perpetrators, regardless of identity, affiliation, or ethnic origin, must face full accountability without delay or exception."
