Kohima: Dimapur Deputy Commissioner Dr. Tinojongshi Chang has ordered the immediate reopening and operationalization of the office of the Mouzadar for Mouza No. 1. This move reverses a previous suspension issued on June 2, 2026, intended to restore service to the public.
While the office resumes operations, the administration has implemented interim arrangements for the collection of annual land revenue records. Block Nos. 3 and 11 are now attached to the Mouzadar of Mouza No. 3, while Block No. 6 is assigned to the Mouzadar of Mouza No. 2. These officials will manage these additional responsibilities alongside their regular duties until further notice.
The administration has provided clear instructions for the transitional period. According to the official directive, the Mouzadars have been "directed to maintain separate registers, accounts and records for Mouza No.1."
Pattadars residing within Mouza No. 1 are now required to submit their annual land revenue taxes to their newly assigned Mouzadars based on these interim guidelines. Copies of the order have been distributed to the relevant officials to ensure the transition proceeds as planned.
