Kohima: The Dimapur Bengali Students Union honored 31 students for top marks in their high school exams on June 28. The ceremony took place at the Town Hall in Dimapur. It recognized academic excellence across both the CBSE and NBSE boards.
Students walked away with awards for their hard work. Seven honorees came from the CBSE stream while 24 earned recognition under the NBSE board. City officials and community leaders attended the event to present the honors.
Guest of honor V. Khekato S. Awomi joined chief guest Dipak Dey and special invitee K.K. Paul to address the crowd. They pushed the students to maintain their momentum. They also stressed the need to serve the community.
Local artists performed during the celebration. DBSU president Rajat Ghosh framed the event as a win for the entire group. He stated that the program celebrated not only academic success but also "hard work, inspiration, and community unity through education and culture."
