Guwahati: Dhubri police arrested Shahjahan Hussain Sheikh, a school headmaster, on charges of sexually assaulting a woman. He ran the 333 Sohrab Char Lower Primary School. The victim claims Sheikh forced her into an illicit relationship near the school grounds.
The woman filed an official complaint leading to case number 253/2026. Officers booked the educator at the A.M.Co Road Bazar Town Police Out Post. He faced the Dhubri District Court on Thursday.
A police official stated, "A case has been registered under the relevant sections based on the victim's statement, and a thorough investigation is underway to ensure justice is served." Local parents are worried. The investigation continues as authorities gather more evidence.
