Dhubri Police Seize Narcotics Cache and Arrest Two Suspects

Guwahati: Dhubri Police apprehended two individuals and confiscated a significant cache of narcotics during an anti-drug operation on June 14. Acting on intelligence reports, officers raided a home in the Jhagrarapa Part-I area to dismantle an alleged distribution network.

Authorities identified the suspects as Noor Alam Haque, the owner of the residence, and Tapan Chandra Shil, a resident of Khalilpur. During the search, police discovered a substantial supply of narcotic tablets alongside psychotropic cough syrup formulations.

Local residents had previously reported suspicious activities, leading officials to target the site. A police spokesperson stated that the suspects "have been detained and are being interrogated by Dhubri Police as part of an ongoing investigation."

The arrests are part of an intensified campaign by district law enforcement to combat drug trafficking. Detectives are currently working to determine the origin of the seized substances and identify other people involved in the supply chain.
