Dhubri mother files police report after son goes missing

Guwahati: A 25-year-old man vanished from his home in Assam’s Dhubri district on June 13. Chan Mia disappeared from the Iron Jongla area while his mother was away at work. The house was empty when she returned that evening.

Saina Bewa, the man’s mother, works as a daily laborer. She spent the day in Dhubri town and came home to find her son gone. She said, "I left him at home when I went for work in the morning. When I came back, he was gone. We have searched everywhere, but we still don't know where he is."

Family members and neighbors scoured nearby streets, transport hubs, and the homes of relatives. These efforts turned up nothing. With no leads left to follow, Bewa filed an FIR at the Dhubri Bazaar Police Station.

Police have now opened an investigation. Officers are tracing the man's final movements and have alerted nearby stations to be on the lookout. Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact the local police immediately.
