CRPF 78 Battalion Marks 41st Anniversary at Zubza Headquarters

Kohima: The 78 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force celebrated its 41st Raising Day on June 1 at the unit headquarters in Zubza, Kohima. Established on June 1, 1985, at Group Centre Avadi in Tamil Nadu, the battalion has maintained a long history of operational excellence and national service across various regions of India.

The event began with a tribute to personnel who died in the line of duty. Following the ceremony, the unit organized a Special Sainik Sammelan, sports competitions, cultural performances, and a communal meal known as a Bara Khana for officers and jawans.

During the event, the Commandant praised the unit for its professional standards and commitment to duty. He encouraged the troops to continue prioritizing operational readiness and community service. To mark the milestone, the battalion also opened a new library called Aksharalaya, which aims to support the professional growth and intellectual development of the force members.
