Imphal: Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee General Secretary Dr. S. Manaoton slammed the BJP government for dragging the country and Manipur backward. He spoke at a Mayang Imphal press event meant to highlight the Chhatron Ki Goonj campaign. The event included local party leaders like S. Jiten and Vidiyabati Senjam.
Manaoton ripped into the double-engine government model. He claims the strategy failed to deliver on promises. Instability plagues the state. The youth face a grim future. He argued that the current damage will take a long time to fix.
The Congress official blamed the BJP for a broken education system. He specifically pointed to the NEET paper leak as a primary example of government negligence. He claimed the incident caused massive distress among students. Dr. Manaoton stated, "The BJP government’s wrong policies and actions have pushed both the country and Manipur backwards."
He says the party wants an inclusive India. They are pushing Rahul Gandhi's vision for youth success. Manaoton called for unity to build a new Manipur. He insists the current path of the state remains unsustainable.
