Chozuba Announces Mass Social Work and Plantation Drive for World Environment Day

Kohima: Chozuba officials have organized a mass social work and plantation drive scheduled for June 5 to observe World Environment Day 2026. This initiative also serves as a proactive measure for monsoon preparedness in the region.

Zapuno Khatso, the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Chozuba, has called on all local stakeholders to join the effort. "The ADC, Chozuba, Zapuno Khatso has informed all government establishments, educational institutions, business establishment, and village and town under Chozuba circle to participate actively in the mas social work cum plantation drive."

The event is set to begin at 7 am. Participants are expected to contribute to the cleanup and planting efforts throughout the Chozuba circle to ensure the area is ready for the seasonal rains.
