Chiephobozou Officials Push for Better Attendance and Monsoon Readiness

Kohima: Chiephobozou departmental heads gathered on June 24 to overhaul local operations. ADC Vekusheyi Rhakho called the meeting to order at his office chamber. Attendance is failing. The ADC demanded that all departments keep their doors open and accessible to the public.

Rhakho reminded staff that government offices exist to handle grievances and provide services. He said, "Government offices should effectively address public grievances and perform their duties efficiently in the interest of citizens."

The group also looked at the coming rains. Road conditions took center stage. Rhakho ordered the Sub-Divisional Officer to clear a landslide at Tsiesema on the National Highway. He also wants reflectors placed at the High Court bypass and speed breakers at the DIET Junction in Chiechama.

Environmental work continues. The ADC praised staff for their support during World Environment Day, specifically noting the Forest Department for supplying tree saplings. He pushed for ongoing cleanliness drives and further planting efforts at every office site. The meeting ended with calls for tighter coordination to manage the Solid Waste Management Rules and upcoming census tasks.
