Chief Minister Pledges Support for Manipuri Literature at State Awards

Imphal: Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand underscored the state government's dedication to preserving and promoting Manipuri language and literature during the Manipur State Literature Awards 2026. The event took place at the MFDS Hall in the Palace Compound of Imphal.

Addressing the attendees, the Chief Minister noted that the state's literary works capture the values, thoughts, and aspirations of the local community. He thanked the writers and scholars for their efforts in enriching Manipur's cultural heritage and driving meaningful social change.

The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Arts, Culture and Tourism Khawairakpam Loken Singh, alongside several prominent literary figures and dignitaries. The Chief Minister offered his congratulations to all the recipients recognized during the awards program.
