Imphal: A saturation and health camp took place Thursday in Tampi and surrounding villages within the Chakpikarong block of Chandel, Manipur. The event was part of the Janjatiya Garima Utsav 2026 campaign, which focuses on reaching remote areas with government services and public awareness initiatives.
Organized by the local SDO and BDO, the program brought together representatives from seven government departments. Around 320 villagers attended the event alongside 11 village chiefs and authority members. The day featured a transect walk to engage the community and a health camp to provide direct medical support.
Officials used the opportunity to educate residents about various welfare schemes and development projects. During the gathering, the Autonomous District Council of Chandel distributed agricultural supplies to local beneficiaries to support their farming efforts.
