Imphal: Communities across the Chandel District held a series of candlelight vigils to honor six Naga victims who were recently abducted and killed. The victims were identified as Pastor Kenpibou, Reverend Manu, Phenrongwibou, Phenrilungbou, Dilip, and Kaliwangbou. These gatherings served as a display of collective grief and solidarity among the local population.

Residents at B. Wangkhera gathered to pray and light candles, while congregations at Y/Khutha Baptist Church and Thangbung Minou Baptist Church organized rallies and prayer services. The entire community in Anal Khunou joined the observance, underscoring the deep sense of loss felt throughout the region.

Special services were also conducted at Lambung, Hnatham, Phunchung, and Thamlapokpi Baptist churches. During these events, participants lit candles and offered prayers to provide comfort and strength to the affected families. The organizers noted that the district-wide response served to highlight a shared commitment to their values, stating that the observances "underscored the shared sense of loss among the Naga people while reaffirming calls for justice, accountability, and respect for human dignity."
