Kohima: M.K. Tiwari hit the ground in Kohima on June 24. As the Joint Director for the Registrar General of India, he came to check the pulse of the upcoming Census 2027. The state is gearing up for the House Listing Operation phase. Training sessions for local enumerators and supervisors are now in full swing.

Tiwari met with Deputy Commissioner B. Henok Buchem to go over the logistics. The pair sat down with charge officers to look at the training progress. Getting the numbers right matters. Tiwari hammered home the need for "quality data collection and thorough preparedness" before the official count begins across the state.
