Camera Rental Operators Brutally Attacked and Robbed in Assam

Guwahati: Two camera rental business owners from Dhubri district were hospitalized following a violent robbery in Assam’s Bongaigaon district. The victims, Akidul Momin and Munna Khan, traveled to Jogighopa for a work assignment after receiving a 4,500 rupee advance from individuals posing as clients.

The pair arrived at the designated meeting spot near Tamranga-Konara Beel with their DSLR and drone equipment. According to police, four unidentified suspects arrived in two separate vehicles, attacked the men with sharp weapons, and stole their camera gear and mobile phones. The victims said that they hid in the water overnight to escape further harm, stating, "fearing for their lives, they spent the night hiding in the waters of Tamranga-Konara Beel before seeking help."

A formal complaint has been registered at the Uttar Salmara Police Outpost. Authorities have visited the scene and are currently investigating to locate the suspects involved in the assault.
