Bus Accident in Assam Leaves One Dead and Thirteen Injured

Guwahati: A fatal bus accident occurred in Assam's Lakhimpur district late Friday night, leaving one passenger dead and thirteen others injured. The bus was traveling from Guwahati to Majuli when it crashed near the Singra bridge at Dolahat Tini Ali in Naoboicha.

Police reports indicate the driver lost control of the vehicle, which subsequently struck a tree and overturned on the highway. Dipjyoti Bora, a 30-year-old resident of Majuli, was identified as the individual killed in the collision.

Local residents and law enforcement arrived quickly at the scene to conduct rescue operations. The injured passengers were transported to nearby medical facilities, where doctors report they are currently in stable condition, despite some sustaining serious injuries. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the crash.
