Burglars target Guwahati prayer hall in daring Paltan Bazar heist

Guwahati: Unidentified individuals broke into the Srimanta Sankar Kristi Bikash Namghar in Guwahati on June 4, making off with several thousand rupees in cash. The perpetrators gained access to the prayer hall by breaching a wall at the religious site located in the busy Paltan Bazar commercial district.

The theft was discovered by local residents and members of the management team who found the damaged structure and missing funds. The incident has caused significant alarm among the local community and regular devotees.

Police have launched an investigation into the burglary and are currently reviewing CCTV footage from the surrounding area to identify the suspects. Authorities stated, "Efforts are underway to identify and apprehend those involved in the theft." Officials continue to work on the case as they seek to bring those responsible to justice.
