Kohima: Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited delivered a haul of new tech to Fazl Ali College on July 8. The donation included All-in-One PCs, interactive smart boards, and PA lectern systems. It aims to modernize the Mokokchung campus. Nagaland Legislative Assembly Speaker Sharingain Longkumer attended the launch event. He thanked the company for the investment.
Longkumer told the crowd that public sector firms have a duty to help society. He pushed students to pair book smarts with real-world skills for the sake of the country. "Academic excellence must be complemented with life skills to prepare young people for meaningful participation in nation-building," Longkumer said. He also told staff to keep the gear in good working order.
Local leaders also spoke during the session. Mokokchung Deputy Commissioner Ajit Kumar Verma and BPCL sales manager Abishek Paul joined college principal Dr. I. Wati Imchen in praising the upgrade. The event ended with a prayer from the Chuchuyimpang Baptist Church. Faculty and students expect the new tools to sharpen their daily classroom work.
