Kohima: The Wokha District BJP Youth Wing handed out free seeds to farmers in Longsa village on July 1. President Shanchothung A. Ezung led the drive. It aimed to boost local agricultural production.

Villagers lined up for the supplies. Organizers handed out corn, peas, soybean, and peanut seeds. They picked these specific varieties to match the local weather. Farmers showed their appreciation for the support.

Ezung noted that many rural people miss out on government help because they lack information. He wants his group to act as a link between the state and the people. "The Youth Wing aims to act as a bridge by creating awareness and ensuring benefits reach those in need," Ezung said.

The team thanked Chumbemo Jerret Patton for supplying the seeds. They also credited Hachio Patton for his help. This event is part of a larger plan to push farming and connect with folks at the grassroots level.
